Statement of Intent re: Online Patient Services

It is a contractual requirement for GP practices to offer and promote to patients: online booking of appointments, ordering of repeat prescriptions and by 31st of March 2015 access to summary information (as a minimum) in their patient record, subject to the necessary GP systems and software being made available to practices by NHS England.

UPDATE (March 2015)

Dr Perkins' Practice Statement of Intent and action plan has been implemented and the practice currently offers & promotes the following Online Patient Services, through Patient Access:

  1. online booking of appointments (currently halted)
  2. online ordering of repeat prescriptions
  3. online access to summary information in the GP patient record

 The Practice also utilises the following functions through the clinical system:

  • Summary Care records update
  • Electronic transfer of patient records (GP2GP)
